Dancers in Fenghuang, VII

Young Miao dancers and musicians rehearse a traditional number on a bridge in the old city of Fenghuang.  The teens teach each other different roles in the dance.  The ribbons attached to each drum mallet whirl through the air as the percussionist spins.  Although the performance is not scheduled to begin until later that evening, a small crowd is already gathering to watch the rehearsal.
